Gamba, Gabon
Last village south of the Loango Park, Sette Cama, tongue of land between
the lagoon and the ocean Ndogo, stretches for several kilometers.
This magical place that is like no other leaves no one indifferent.
The lagoon, beautiful at the approach of the mouth, welcomes hippos,
while elephants and buffaloes sometimes appear to turn a water arm or
on the beach. In the mangroves, we see many small animals
particularly amphibians) which scientists Smithsonian sensitize
tourists and in the forest, visitors can admire the huge trees where
birds frolic and primates.
Generally, to go from Gamba to Sette Cama, take the sand track that
dates back to the north, or the lagoon is crossed. 4x4 (mandatory),
it takes about 1 hour 30 min to reach Sette Cama, crossing forest
and savannah. The track, which leaves the airport road, on the right,
is laterite at first, but quickly becomes sandy and difficult.
It is advisable to go for two vehicles, especially as telephone
networks do not pass. We stop to mark the brigade Forestry where
to login to report entry into the park. Then we arrive at the
village of Sette Cama. The most recommanded place to do sport
fishing in Central Africa.
