Taking the direction of Cape Estérias, the entrance to the classified forest Mondah reports left about 3 km after entering

the Cape Santa Clara. It is nice to take a walk in very shady paths, traced by the National School of Forestry in the plot preservatives.

A small wooden house and a red and white barrier signal start circuits. Trees are unfortunately not labeled, but some explanations

on panels from rides possible to identify the main species you will encounter. The ideal would be to go with a guide.

Although the forest has considerably reduced in recent years, following the scheduled deforestation for urbanization

reasons, it remains a natural refuge, peaceful and rejuvenating, which survive and can be admired many species of large trees .

Listed since 1951, not for its natural resources, but because it was a planted forest, it gets the same rainfall as the Akanda park

and has the characteristics of a rain forest. There is still great here primary and secondary forest of trees that do not exist

elsewhere in the country. More close to the sea, there are mangrove mangroves.
